Solar-powered drones have the potential to deliver seeds and other agricultural inputs to hard-to-reach areas, particularly after disasters, in an environmentally friendly way. This method of drone delivery promises to drastically improve the quality of life for many people, by improving food security. Places that might lack the necessary infrastructure to get seed or other agricultural inputs easily or areas that have recently been subject to disasters, such as natural disaster or war, usually face problems with food security. Solar-powered drones have the potential to deliver seeds and other agricultural inputs to hard-to-reach areas, particularly after disasters, in an environmentally friendly way. This method of drone delivery promises to drastically improve the quality of life for many people, by improving food security. Places that might lack the necessary infrastructure to get seed or other agricultural inputs easily or areas that have recently been subject to disasters, such as natural disaster or war, usually face problems with food security. By giving the farmers in these areas access to necessary agricultural inputs food security could be greatly improved. Additionally, by using solar-powered, the environmental impact of this practice of delivery is almost zero. With the delivery of seeds and agricultural inputs by solar-powered drones, global food security could be increased and the lives of many could be bettered, without much environmental cost.
