Integrated digital platforms for livestock management can bring farmers, traders, supplies, and researchers together in order to improve the production of livestock and connect small farmers with relevant markets. These platforms help farmers keep records and allow them to view their data holistically and make better-informed decisions. This innovation promises to improve agricultural sustainability in the face of climate change by launching a market-based platform based around climate-friendly livestock. This platform will serve as an interface to connect different actors in the agricultural industry. It will, facilitate meetings between buyers and sellers and open up alternative markets to farmers. An interface like this can even be used to overcome some cash shortages that farmers might face. It could also serve as an alternative for those who do not have bank accounts. When small farmers use integrated digital platforms for livestock management, they are given access to many of the luxuries that industrial and commercial farmers have. With this platform, farmers are empowered to make decisions about managing their livestock based on scientific evidence and connect with important actors in their industry. This leads to higher quality livestock, the implementation of more sustainable farming practices, and greater profit by the farmer. Integrated digital platforms for livestock management have the potential to improve the lives of many small farmers and help decrease the overall carbon footprint of farming livestock.
